YOUTH MINISTRY
(back
to top)
CONTACT PERSON:
Nate Holdeman
PURPOSE
Our Youth Ministry exists to
expose teenagers to God’s love, connect them with other
Christians, help them grow in their faith, and encourage
students to honor God with their lives as well as discover their
gifts and put them into practice.
MEETING TIMES
Sunday School: During 2nd
Service (10:30am)
Wednesday Night Youth Group:
6:30pm – 8pm.
*Other Activities will vary.
WHO CAN SERVE
Anybody who has a heart for
teenagers can make a great leader. It is not about your age, it
is about your heart. A wide range of personalities, skills and
interests are needed. Students are not the same and neither are
the leaders.
OUR CURRENT NEEDS
We can always use people who
want to get involved, but these are our two greatest needs:
(1)
In order to have two leaders in each small group on
Wednesday night, we currently need one consistent female leader
to commit to either the Jr. High girls or the Sr. High girls on
Wednesday nights. This person just needs to have a desire to
create relationships with the students.
(2)
Tom and Mitzy Johnson currently lead the Sr. High Sunday
School. We would love to have another person or couple sit in
with that Sunday School class. The only responsibilities would
be to get to know the high school class and lead the lesson
occasionally when the Johnson’s are out of town. These
volunteers need to have a heart to disciple high school students
and get to know the students along the way.
OTHER YOUTH MINISTRY NEEDS
If you have one night to commit
to E-Free Factor (Our lock-in and biggest outreach event of the
year)… you could be a big help to the youth ministry.
If you have a beach house on the
ocean that you want to open up for a high school get-a-way
weekend… you could be a big help to the youth ministry (It was
worth a shot, right?)
If you have anything that you
think might benefit the youth ministry at some point (examples:
van, boat, trailer, house, farm, tent, an idea, etc.) … you
could be a big help to the youth ministry.
TO GET INVOLVED
To get involved in the most fun,
rewarding, and challenging ministry in the church, please
contact Pastor Nate. Please call with any ideas or questions
that you might have.
